Artist's Comments

This is more or less a 'test'. LDS-Jedi has already stated he likes my close-up shots of my jewelry, and jadisofeternity commented on chainmail jewelry. So, I thought I'd start off with a really quick pic of something I've made - a gorgeous heavy men's bracelet in the Jens Pind weave, made with Copper, Bronze & Brass 16G rings. Made with love for my husband, LDS-Jedi... but he won't wear it because it 'turns his skin green'. What a Wuss!

excellent shot and weave!
I love that material combo you used!!
I keep looking for an excuse to order that AR...2.8/2.9? (I tried a 3.1, but it was too loose)...

PS what are you using for that white backdrop?
:iconpuresimplenatural:
Thank you!
I used 16G 3/16" rings, so whatever AR that works out to... ?
(I'm still a little AR-Phobic)
Anyways... it did make a very nice JP that was quick to weave!

Oh, the backdrop... that's a secret.

well poo-poo! that was the exact size I used...you didn't find it too loose, or that it came unwound?...I may need to try it again...

PS...if that's paper...great lighting!

The size was perfect for me. It's not tight, but it holds nicely. Perhaps because with the Copper & Bronze being so soft & 'smooshy', it made it work. What material did you try?

lol...got it...been working on it (don't forget listening to CSI...now... Without a Trace) since I saw your post...
...thanks for the clarification and inspiration!

I see she only gave you half the secret.. <whisper>She has a cool little light tent too</whisper> Don't tell her I told you though... just ask her about it and she will be happy to tell ya. I'd like to see your work too!

And for the record.. I'm not a Wuss.. I just have a phobia of green wrists... that's all. :shh:

Excellent shot of a favourite piece. I do love the way you capture your jewelry. I know you showed me your trick on placing the focus and stuff to give that cool perspective look... but I need to practice.

I look forward to other pics you might be having in a secret stash...
